Looking for Something To Do? On the Cheap?

The University is offering two great new programs to help students fill their time with something other than Robot Chicken re-runs (I prefer The Critic myself).

The first is a brand new calendar of campus events, consolidated in one place, and it even has RSS feeds for those of you that are technically adept enough to use a program like Bloglines. The program seems to be working well with campus departments and sporting teams, and hopefully student groups will be invited to use the program at some point.

The second is a new program out of Zellerbach Hall that allows students to crash Cal Performances events the day of the show for the basement bargain price of $10. It’s hard for students to get the regular expensive tickets, so this will be a nice way to see some of this campus’ headliners on a student’s schedule and budget.
