The News in Short

I apologize for the lack of posts. It’s finals time and I am the only blogger for CalStuff (save for Ben, but he just tells me what to do. Kinda like Secretary but without the kink. And the sex.) I’ve broken down, so here’s the news in short to help fuel your Internet-procrastination marathon.

Zachary RunningWolf, a leader of the tree protest, has been cited by the UC Berkeley PD for trespassing and has been banned from the Cal campus for a week. [SF Chronicle]

The Berkeley AnonCon (anonymous confessions post on the LiveJournal community) is up and running, having already maxed out the first post with 5000 comments. I probably contributed about 100 to date. I’m so far gone I’ve bookmarked the page. [Berkeley LiveJournal]

The semi-annual Running of the Students occured yesterday at midnight in the Main Stacks. I can’t find any video or pictures, though that’s not from lack of trying. I’m not sure I want to see Cal students naked, but it’s a sort of morbid curiosity.

CalTV offers a video to help you during your massive cramming. The video opens with the title “TODAY’S TIPS: How NOT to Fail you [sic] Class.” Uh oh. Umm, yeah…this does not look too good. [CalTV]

Last but not least:

Legally Blonde is coming to a stage near you. The musical version of the not-quite-so-award-winning movie will start previews in the San Francisco Golden Gate Theatre on January 23, 2007. I’m not sure if this is a good thing or a bad thing, but it sounds like a high-thing. Best when mixed with drugs. [Wikipedia; Official Site]

  1. I think you deserve your name up there on the top right of the page.
