Is CalStuff Dead?

Posted by Ben N. in CalStuff Announcements

The answer: probably. At least in its current condition.

The reality of the matter is that I just don’t have the time to write right now, especially given the 20 hour work week that I’m taking on with my classes and law school apps.

Andy M. and Josh M. just aren’t around enough to keep this going.

If someone wants to give this a whirl, it would be amazing - CalStuff has been the catalyst for many events in the past four years, and it would be sad to see it all come to an end in such an uneventful manner. Plus, there is a lot of news to write about in this town that no one is talking about - writing for CalStuff is edgy, pioneering, and makes you more physically attractive. Okay, maybe less physically attractive, but I didn’t have much to lose to begin with.

So, hopefully some of you will step up and help carry on this project. Otherwise, hope you enjoy those Daily Cal crossword puzzles.

  7. Ben, I can totally understand that you are too busy to post much. But didn’t you just hire two new junior Calstuff writers? Wtf, those two guys lasted for about three weeks before they quit posting. I don’t even remember their names, but those two really suck.

Email these lowlifes, write letters to the DailyCal, show up at the next senate meeting. Just do something to stop SA from raping us.

  20. Ben, we’re all busy, and we all face challenges. You set yourself up as a reasoning voice at CAL. As a rebel. As one who participates and encouraged others to do so. A true politico, a true writer, would squeeze those last few moments before sleep or forgo that booze (oh yes, I have seen you PARTY) to be the writer/politico/activist one has claimed to be. You have gained the notority, and then quit on us. Perhaps fame on the CAL pond was all you wanted. Your previous eloquence has dwindled, and nothing is left but, “Croak.”

And yet, even with a week, I noticed you didn’t respond to the challenge about you being the black pot. Silence denotes agreement, my bigoted man.

And you do know that “some more” should be two words, right. Bigoted and stupid and hypocritical is such a sad way to go thru life?

  56. Of course, homos can get married in America. They marry girls, then have sex on the side with closet cases.

And Concerned — you do know that studies show that the most homophobic males typically are so strident because they are closet cases themselves.

So what secrets are you hiding, Concerned?

    Comment by Anon — October 30, 2006 @ 1:10 pm

  57. Would you care to cite any of those studies? I bet you won’t, because you know just as well as I do that these “studies” are propaganda from the “gay rights” crowd.

    Comment by Concerned student — October 30, 2006 @ 4:26 pm

  60. I love this anarchic bickering. It gets me a little excited. In my pants.

    Comment by Christine — November 4, 2006 @ 11:40 am

  61. Sorry concerned — I was all wrapped up in the news of the famoous anti-homosexual church leader who it turns out was paying for gay sex all time. Haggard is just another in a long line of homphobes yelling for oppression of gays who love to suck it on the side. In 1980, Maryland Rep. Robert Bauman was arrested for sex with a 16-year-old male prostitute. Bauman was notoriously anti-gay in his votes. Also conservative G. Harold Caswell, a Nixon nominee to the Supreme Court who had a history of rulings against gay rights, who was later arrested for approaching an undercover cop in a bathroom for gay sex. Jeez, how much do you pay your male whore for meth, concerned?

Before you answer that, go check
Journal Of Abnormal Psych 1996, Vol. 105, No. 3440–445. Is Homophobia Associated With Homosexual Arousal pp 49-54. Bernstein, G. S.

So c’mon — admit it Concerned. You got a poster of a barechested Justin Timberlake on your wall, don’t you?

    Comment by Anon — November 6, 2006 @ 9:48 am

  62. Of course there’s also Roy Cohn — notorious lawyer who helped Joe McCarthy hunt down gays, and Terry Dolan — head of the National Conservative Political Action Committee who went after Sen Ted Kennedy and always used scaring white conservatives with stories of gays taking over to bolster his PAC fundraising.

Both homos, both died of AIDS.

Closet cases think if they yell against gays, it will be their cover.
How’s it working for you, Concerned?

    Comment by Anon — November 6, 2006 @ 9:52 am

  63. Gee, concerned. Is it my turn to start posting daily “waiting” comments? Good for the goose, good for the gander, right? Even when the goose is a closet-case?

    Comment by Anon — November 7, 2006 @ 4:23 pm

  64. Sorry, dude, I was too busy watching the election returns: 2 more victories for traditional marriage in Tennessee and South Carolina! Maybe you would like to return to your previous talking point about “we’re beating you”. Actually, maybe not.

PS Did you read the part where Ted Haggard confessed to “disgusting and repulsive behavior”? He’s still a good guy, in spite of his succumbing to unnatural tempations.

    Comment by Concerned student — November 7, 2006 @ 5:48 pm

  65. Oh concerned, you are so clueless. You just proved the point.

Guys who get all bent out of shape over homo-sex, who think it’s disgusting and repulsive, are very likely to be hiding urges to commit such sex.

Again, concerned — where do you get your massages and meth?

And you know — I’ll take the gay marriage defeats in this election considering how most politicians you would suppport went down to flaming defeat. And if you don’t realize that the Dems taking control will do more for gay marriage than those state contests, then you are doing too much of that meth with your male hustler.
