Elections Open Thread

I’m too busy to write a substantial post at the moment, but here is a place anyone can leave any election related comments.

I’m especially interested in any information about logistical/technical trouble with the elections, illegal campaigning, and any reports about how online voting is working for students.

P.S. I would tell you to vote for me if I hadn’t already committed massive campaign violations that will ensure my disqualification.

20 Little Bears Said...

  1. I voted for you in…every category…

Good luck serving in each role concurrently and from St. Louis!

  2. Hi, my name is Jesus Christ. Depending on whether you’re a Christian or a Jew, you might know me as either the son of your diety, or the bastard son of the temple whore

In either instance, I have a very important message for each and every one of you. John Waste is running for EAVP and Senate with the SQUELCH! Party, and it is very important that you vote for him. Should you fail to do so, some holy smiting might be in order…

    Kisses,
    Jesus H. Christ

  5. As far as logistical troubles, I was at the MLK voting booth this morning until 9:30 and at that point they only had one laptop running at least for a little longer than that, but it was all fixed next time I walked by at 11:00.

  6. Also, I forgot to mention that purchasing a SQUELCH! Party T-shirt actually guarantees you a spot in heaven. Additionally, if you’re Catholic, said purchase provides you with one Get Out of Pergatory Free card.

I’m not usually this enthusiastic about materialism, but they’re just so damn attractive. “SQUELCH! too hung over to care since 1998,” now that’s a message I can wholeheartedly support. Purchase them on Sproul for $8 or enjoy an eternity of hell fire and brimstone.

  11. mano has never really posted a lot about CalSERVE. ProgCal has graduated.

I predict CalSERVE will elect at least 5 and probably all 6 of their candidates, just you wait and see … That’s not counting others who might get elected who are sympathetic to CalSERVE’s agenda. Pretty good for a “weak party”.

  19. Anyone heard anything on Ronald Cruz’s eligibility? I love how he thinks he can run when he has already graduated and is no longer a student. He is taking one class from UC Ex (which could be one of those weekly seminars on how to be a bartender for all we know) and thinks that makes him a Berkeley student? Does BAMN actually believe the BS they put out, or do they realize that are full of it but do it just to annoy and badger the University?

Even Hoku finally left Berkeley. Ronald needs to do the same and get a life.
