Maria Shriver and CNN visit Berkeley
First Lady of California Maria Shriver will be visiting the RSF as part of a segment on CNN’s Fit Nation, tomorrow, April 13, 4-5:30 p.m.:
[Shriver] will drop in on CNN health reporter Dr. Sanjay Gupta’s “Fit Nation” tour when it stops at UC Berkeley for a town hall. The seven-week tour of seven college campuses — UC Berkeley is the next to last stop — to focus attention on the nation’s obesity epidemic and to search for solutions…
Other guests at the event are Marion Nestle, nationally known nutrition specialist and a visiting professor of public health, public policy and journalism at UC Berkeley, and Joanne Ikeda, an expert on nutrition and weight and UC Berkeley professor of nutritional sciences and toxicology…
The town hall meeting, which will be webcast live, will take place in the Kleeburger Field House, the large gymnasium on the ground floor of the Recreational Sports Facility.

They’re giving away $5000 in a raffle at the event, according to a guy from CNN that walked by Sproul.
