Cal Beats USC - Moves on to Pac-10 Semis

Leon Powe carried the Golden Bears with 22 points and 20 rebounds to a win over USC, 82-67. This is Cal’s first semi in the Pac-10 since 2003, where they’ll face 7th seeded Oregon State (who upset Washington) on Saturday.

ESPN is reporting that Cal is virtually a lock to get into the NCAA Tournament this year, with estimates of a #9 entrance seed being floated around. Personally, I feel that a strong finish in the Pac-10 Tourney could bring that up to a more justifiable #6 seed, but that is still at least two games away.
