Naked Protest Coming Soon!

Although the ASUC passed a code of conduct that requires the university to only source from sweat-free factories a few years ago, it’s not being followed at all. Cal gear is still made in sweatshops, and the purpose of the protest is to demonstrate to the chancellor that students want the code of conduct to be followed.
The LiveJournal story is a little off. Primarily, the ASUC can’t pass a code of conduct - we encouraged the university to alter theirs to explicitly rule out sweat shop labor.

HAHAHAHA, the ASUC passed a “code of conduct.” Let me get my roll of gold stars!!!! What is next, a “code of conduct” declaring that George Bush is not president!! I love the ASUC, don’t you? Anyway, have fun getting cited for indecent exposure on Wednesday!!!!

I would say I’d go to this protest but judging from the ugliness of the girls stripping down, this event is likely to be hideous. Maybe that’s the tactic, they’re so hideous that the Chancellor has no choice but to support the protestors… or send out the UCPD on their asses =)
The ASUC passes silly external bills every week and no one cares. They’re losers who just want people to think they’re important.

I predict, like most Berkeley protests, this will meet with immediate success and sweatshops the world over will close their doors in fear of the nonviolent wrath of libeal undergrads!
