in other news - Mano’s stock pic turned out correct, in that gold is being hoarded at record levels. However, this is usually tied to a downward stock market and fall of the dollar, which hasn’t happened, so who knows what that means.

  7. gold is not a stock, hence, it is not a stock pick. btw, id expect gold to continue to rise, and the dollar to see a serious fall, soon (less than 6 months).

btw, iran has nothing to do with the price of gold. it does have to do with the price of oil. and if you want to thank someone for the price of oil or gold, you can thank the us government.

  8. look at the price chart. from the beginning of august to the beginning of september gold stayed stable at 440, then when Iran announced they were going to continue “peaceful” enrichment in late august/early september, it began to continuously rise, with spikes close to the areas when more annoucements of defiance were made from tehran.

  18. no, captain anonymous told me that the recent instablity in afghanistan is driving up the sugar prices.

    haha.

PS: for those who actually care about this stuff, when the prices of commodities go up, its called inflation.
